Does This Car Have SEO?
Huh? With SEO you buy traffic at the start, then, if done well, the traffic is free after a while. You will pay for SEO. One way or another. You can spend your time or spend your money, it kind of depends which you have more of and how you want to allocate your resources. Even when you are creating your website you are doing SEO. Whether your content is effectively connected to SEO principals or not it will still get indexed.
Sure you can build links and promote online socially forever but if your site is getting traffic and conversions you can take a vacation. Your site will still get traffic. You can create a new site, you can study Rocket Surgery, and your site will still get traffic. Free traffic. Yes you may from time to time want to make sure it is all working and sometimes there will be changes in your site’s search engine rankings but if you built on a solid foundation of good content and linking you will be in the search engines a long time. Your grandchildren’s grandchildren maybe even.
I wrote a goofy post on The Original Adventures in Internet Marketing Blog about what do rich people buy online in 2007 and it is number 1 page one for what do rich people buy. I was just learning about affiliate marketing and knew I needed to write a blog just so something would exist and I figured a blogging about what I learned would help. I haven’t written on that blog for a while but that post is still page one number one. I still get traffic from that post.
Maybe the Internet will evolve into something we cannot even imagine. A neural psychic pill the size of a microbe maybe, but until it does there will be search engines and with SEO they will help people find what you offer.

when you do seo you pay in time or money then it is free. This may or may not include buying links, which Google does not like. Personally I never buy links.
